Myra Jean Davis Keith, 92, of Abbeville, SC, wife of the late Robert Elliott Keith, died Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC. She was born in Greenwood, SC to the late John Bealor Davis and Edna Josie Amaker Davis.
Mrs. Keith was a 1949 graduate of Greenwood High School and 1950 graduate of Greenwood College of Commerce. She retired from the South Carolina 8th Judicial Circuit Court. Engaged in her community, she was a founding member of the Abbeville Cotillion Club, served on the Abbeville Opera House Restoration Committee and member of the Literary Lantern Book Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with the lunch bunch ladies. Mrs. Keith was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Keith was preceded in death by a son, Robert Elliott Keith, Jr. and sister, Anna Clara Davis Wood.
Mrs. Keith is survived by her sons, Russell Davis Keith (Georgette) of Sneads Ferry, NC and Robert Neil Keith (Jane) of Abbeville, SC; and three grandchildren, Christi Keith, Anna Beth Keith and Peyton Dain Keith (Desi).
A reception will be held 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Belmont Inn on Friday, November 17, 2023.
A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated to the glory of God and in thanksgiving for the life of Mrs. Myra Keith, on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Trinity Episcopal Church at 3:30PM with Reverand Rilla Holmes officiating. Private inurnment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Keith may be sent to Friends of Trinity, PO Box 448, Abbeville, SC 29620.
