Nancy Chasteen

Nancy Terrell Chasteen, 77, of Abbeville, died Monday, February 24, 2025, at her home. She was born in Toccoa, GA to the late Robert Lee and Faye Ayers Terrell. 

Throughout her life, Nancy took great pride in her role as a mother and grandmother. She devoted herself to her children and grandchildren and found great joy in their happiness, often reflecting on the treasured memories they created together. Nancy also had a passion for baking and cooking, often filling her home with delightful aromas that reflected her love for those around her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee ‘Jody’ Addison; brother, Bobby Lee Terrell and a grandson, Dakota Blume.

Nancy is survived by her children, Tracy (Sharon) Addison of Toccoa, GA, Shannon (Hannah) Chasteen of Newport, Washington and Hope Arnold of Abbeville, SC; brother, Dennis (Betty) Terrell of Toccoa, GA; sister, Lynn Terrell of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren, Amber (Brad) Chitwood, Cody (Kaylee) Addison, Brent (April) Chasteen, Gracie Pierce, Ty Chasteen and Gage Arnold; and four great-grandchildren, Maddison, Harli, Ruger and Arden.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be 11:00AM, Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Harris Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dr. Robbie Burton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
