Nettie Sue Botts Beauford, 80, wife of Archie E. Beauford, of Abbeville, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Abbeville to the late Roy and Lena Beauford Botts. Mrs. Beauford will be remembered by many children which she nurtured and cared for through her daycare. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beauford was preceded in death by a brother, John William Botts; a sister, Lucille Hill; and a great-grandchild, Kevin Lee. She is survived by her husband of 59 years of the home; two daughters, Faye B. Turner and her husband, Macky, of Ninety Six and Janice B. Hawthorne and her husband, Ray, of Abbeville; a brother, Roy "Buddy" J. Botts, Jr. of Texas; a sister, Joyce B. Bosler of Greenwood; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, June 14, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, June 15, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Daryle Hawthorne and Mike Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Beauford, may be sent to Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o John D. Stennett, 1528 Alexander Road W., Greenwood, SC 29646.
