Nina Pavlovna Podstavkina

Nina Pavlovna Podstavkina, 79, of Anderson, wife of the late Nikolay Podstavkin, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, surrounded by her children and grandchildren at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. She was born in Kiev, Ukraine to the late Pavel Voronin and Polina Andrievskaya Voronin.

Nina’s career began in her native Ukraine, where she served as a telegram operator and teacher for most of her life. In 2001, she relocated to the United States and began working at The Renaissance in Due West, SC. As a beloved member of the Due West community, she was known for her warmth, genuine kindness, hard work and dedication which left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Nina was a member of the Grace Slavic Baptist Church in Honea Path, SC.

She is survived by her children, Irina Podstavkina, Very Chayka, Victoriya Redko and Alex Podstavkin; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at the Due West ARP Church on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 12:00PM with Pastor Slavik Fursov officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
