Pam E. ‘Jama’ Torrance, 64, of Calhoun Falls, wife of Walter E. Torrance, died Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Fort Meade, MD to the late John Floyd and Beatrice Burton Shiflet.
Pam was a 1977 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School. Throughout her life, she enjoyed working in the food & beverage industry. Pam had a strong affection towards animals, a witty sense of humor, and never met a stranger with her fun-loving personality.
‘Jama’, as she was affectionally called, is survived by her husband of 18 years, Walter, of the home; five stepchildren; a brother, Will ‘PeeWee’ Shiflet of Calhoun Falls; two sisters, Patsy Wells of Abbeville and Dolores Fleming (Barry) of Elberton, GA; and wide circle of extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate Pam’s life will be 3:00PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Harris Funeral Home Calhoun Falls Chapel with Rev. Jerry Dalton officiating. The family will greet with friends immediately following the service.
