Patricia Pruitt "Patsy" Bouchillon

Patricia ‘Patsy’ Pruitt Bouchillon, 87, of Abbeville, wife of the late Claude Hobson ‘Hop’ Bouchillon, died Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Julian Ernest Pruitt, Sr. and Evelyn Boyd Pruitt.

A graduate of Antreville High School and Forrest College in Anderson, Mrs. Bouchillon retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. A devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, Mrs. Bouchillon will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Julian Ernest Pruitt, Jr., Jerry ‘Barney’ Pruitt, and Robert ‘Bobby’ Pruitt and a grandson, Jesse Bouchillon.

Mrs. Bouchillon is survived by her two sons, Dave Bouchillon (Wendy) of Abbeville and Tim Bouchillon (Debbie) of Ridgeland; her daughters, Sally Bouchillon, of Greenwood and Sheryl Pitts of Anderson; a brother, Larry Pruitt (Pat) of Long Beach, MS; a sister, Bert Pruitt Allison (Bobby) of Pickens; five grandchildren, Amanda Bonds (Bradley), Nathan Bonds (Hannah), Matthew Chalmers, Jolie Pitts and Jared Pitts; five great-grandchildren, Walker, Daniel, Braylan, Elijay, and Kairi; and a great-great-grandson, Wyatt.

A private family service will be held.
