Patricia Calhoun

Patricia 'Pat' Calhoun, 71, of Abbeville, beloved wife of Roy Calhoun, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Lakelands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Millen, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Frances Newton Collins.

A graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, Patricia dedicated many years to her career at Calvin Klein and Flexible Technologies. She was an active member of Long Cane AME Church, where she contributed to the Women’s Ministry, taught Sunday School, and played the keyboard. Patricia found joy in sewing and cherished moments spent reading her Bible.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Collins, and two grandsons, Matthias D. Elam and Roy Glenn L. Calhoun, III.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 25 years, Roy Calhoun; their children: William Ray, Glenn L. Calhoun, Jr., Neece Ray (Desarae), Chelsi Calhoun, Glorie Calhoun, Theresa Calhoun, Lakisha Brown, Rasmine Harris, and Jasmine Sebaggala. She will be deeply missed by her fifteen grandchildren, particularly Mr. Ray and Jonathan Lee, along with seventeen great-grandchildren and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Long Cane AME Church. Funeral services will begin in the church on Wednesday at 11:00AM with Rev. Natasha Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
