Rachel Bridges Hilley

Rachel Bridges Hilley, 85, of Calhoun Falls, wife of the late James W. ‘Bill’ Hilley, died Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at her home. She was born in Danielsville, GA to the late, Alvin and Cora Graham Bridges.

Mrs. Hilley dedicated 32 years of her career as a spinner with Mohawk and Rocky River Mills. She was actively involved in her community as a member of Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Rachel found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including shopping, cooking, and tending to her lawn. Her warm spirit and kindness will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, J.W., Allen and Mullen Bridges; two sisters, Susie Mae Holloway and Jewel Hulett; and a brother-in-law, Laland Adams.

Mrs. Hilley is survived by her sister Myrtice Adams of Bowman, GA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM on Tuesday with the Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
