Ralph 'Marshal' Wilson, 74, of the Lake Secession Community, husband of Jackie Maiuro Wilson, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 05, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Anderson, SC to the late JJ and Ruth Holmes Wilson. Marshal was a 1957 Crescent High School Graduate and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worshiped at Providence Presbyterian Church in Lowndesville. Mr. Wilson has been a Mechanical Engineer for 40 years and is currently employed with Mustang Engineering in Greenville, SC. When he and his wife were not traveling, as they loved to do, Mr. Wilson enjoyed singing whether at home, at church or at the local nursing homes where he expressed his passion for music. Surviving Marshal is his wife of 49 years of the home, a son, Barry Wilson of Currie, NC; a daughter, DeDe Martin and her husband Pat of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Bobby Wilson and his wife Mary Jean of Phoenix City, Ala., and Forbes Wilson and his wife Ella of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Joyce Twarkins of Iva, SC and Ellen Wright of Starr, SC; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday at 3:30PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow with Military honors in the Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lowndesville, SC. The family is at the home on Lake Secession. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Wilson may be sent to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, PO Box 19023, Seattle, WA 98109-1023 OR to the Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 226, Lowndesville, SC 29659.
