Ramona Blaskowitz King

February 8, 1930 — February 14, 2011

Ramona Blaskowitz King, 81, of Abbeville, wife of the late Osborne A. King, died peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2011 surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Abbeville. She was born in Staten Island, NY to the late Albert & Frances Kaberski Blaskowitz. Mrs. King retired with many dedicated years with Flexible Technologies and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Even though she lived in South Carolina, she let ever one know she was born in New York and would be a Yankee until death. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Blaskowitz and a sister, Helena Bissonnette. Mrs. King is survived by a son, Osborne A. "Chip" King and his wife Julie of Abbeville; two daughters, Holly King Keller and her husband Curt of Greenwood and Patrice King Rosenberg and her husband Herby of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Rodney Keller, Herb Rosenberg, Amanda Blackwell and Allison Beaty; and her special friend, her dog Bandit. The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care their mother received by Ms. Ella Mae. Graveside services celebrating the life of Mrs. King will be 3:00PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Long Cane Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Wilson officiating. The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Herby Rosenberg. Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. King, may be sent to the Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
