Rebecca Stamps ‘Becky’ Loftis, 67, of Abbeville, wife of Jimmy E. Loftis, died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. She was born in Greenwood to the late Paul Lee and Mary Louise Leamon Stamps. Becky was a 1967 graduate of Abbeville High School. After marriage she and her husband lived in Anderson and Greenwood, later they made Abbeville their home. She enjoyed working with the public and was employed in management with several restaurants. Because of her love for children, Becky owned and operated an in home daycare for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy E. Loftis, Jr., a step-son, Douglas F. Loftis, three sisters, Rose Stamps, Saundra Stamps Collins and Deborah ‘Debbie’ Stamps Johnson, a grandson, Joseph E. ‘Joey’ Todd and great-grandson, Bryson McIntyre. She is survived by her husband of 48 years of the home; two daughters, Lorrie L. Walters of Abbeville and Amy L. Alley of Greenwood; a brother, John R. Stamps (Karen) of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Rhiannon Todd, Spencer Walters, Eric Gonzales, Brandon Nickles (Shay) and Britney Chastain (Matt); five great-grandchildren, Kylie, Madeline, Kristin, Amarie and Melanie; several nieces, nephews and a dear friend of the family, Eddy Coleman of Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 3:30PM to 5:00PM Monday, May 15, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin in the chapel at 5:30PM on Monday with The Rev. Nicholas Beasley officiating. The family is at the home.
