Ricky C. Fulghum

Ricky Claude Fulghum, 64, of Calhoun Falls, husband of Susan Haynes Brown, died Sunday, April 13, 2025, at his home. He was born in Royston, GA to Martha Evans Fulghum and the late Claude C. Fulghum.

Ricky received his education from the Franklin County schools, where he laid the foundation for a career as a skilled mechanic. In addition to his career, Ricky served proudly in the Georgia National Guard, exemplifying his commitment to service and duty. Ricky enjoyed various hobbies that brought him joy, including his great passion for dirt car racing, where he found camaraderie among fellow racing enthusiasts. A proud member of the National Rifle Association, he was of the Holiness faith.

In addition to his father, Ricky was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Fulghum.

He is survived by his wife of 21 glorious and blessed years, Susan, of the home; his mother, Martha E. Fulghum of Royston, GA; three sisters, Kim Allen of Athens, GA, Jennifer (Bobby) Ivie of Gainesville, GA; Julie (Steve) Elgin of Hartwell, GA; two nephews, Braxton Hix and Josh Allen; one niece, Kayla Fulghum; and three great nieces and two great nephews.

The family will receive friends 10:00AM – 11:00AM, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:30AM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery, 400 N. Oliver Street, Elberton, GA 30635.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions, in memory of Ricky, be sent to the Cancer Center – Self Regional Healthcare, 1325 Spring Street, Greenwood, SC 29646.
