Robert Benedict "Roben" Eleazer Iii

Robert Benedict 'Roben' Eleazer, III, 62, husband of Beck Bardin Eleazer, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. He was born in Orangeburg, SC to Nancy Brewster Eleazer and the late Dr. Robert B. Eleazer, Jr. Roben was a 1971 graduate of Orangeburg High School. He attended Wofford College and was a 1975 graduate of the University of Hawaii where he received his bachelor's degree in Marine Biology. Roben was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. Roben worked in sales with Milliken & Co in Spartanburg and BEST, Inc. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to sail, hunt, travel, scuba dive and fly fish. Roben enjoyed family and friends, his happiest and most rewarding time was spent with those he loved. Roben is survived by his wife, Beck, of the home; his mother, Nancy Eleazer, formally of Orangeburg, SC, now residing in Newberry, SC; a son, Robert Benedict 'Ben' Eleazer, IV of New York, NY, three daughters, Bren Eleazer of Greer, SC, Meg Parkman (Tanner) of Greenwood, SC and Sarah Parris (Matt) of Greenwood, SC; two brothers, Hal B. Eleazer (Susan) of Chesnee, SC and Carl B. Eleazer (Nila) of Lyman, SC; a sister, Lyn Bethea (Earle) of Newberry, SC; three grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron and Karsyn and numerous nieces and nephews. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Roben Eleazer will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in the Due West ARP Church with the Rev. Calvin Draffin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. The family is at the home. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Eleazer may be sent to the Due West ARP Church, PO Box 397, Due West, SC 29639 or to the Orangeburg Lutheran Church, 610 Ellis Ave., Orangeburg, SC 29115.
