Robert F. "Bobby" Mckinney

Robert "Bobby" F. McKinney, 62, husband of Betty Carol McKinney, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at his home, 2402 Upper Mill Rd. He was born in Plum Branch to Katherine White McKinney and the late James Robert McKinney. Mr. McKinney was the former owner and operator of J.R. McKinney and Sons Logging Company. He was a member of the McCormick First Baptist Church, the Caldwell Masonic Lodge, Past President and Charter member of the Plum Branch Saddle Club, former member of the McCormick County Development Board, and had served on the Board of Directors of the Long Cane Academy. Mr. McKinney will be remembered for various different things, but most importantly he will be remembered as being a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving Mr. McKinney is his wife of 40 years of the home, a son, Mark and his wife Britt Mattison McKinney of Simpsonville, SC., a daughter, Lisa Crawford and her husband Dan of Greenwood, SC., a brother, Billy McKinney of Plum Branch, a sister, Florence Cronin of Columbia and a very special friend Tim Collins. Mr. McKinney was also a beloved "Poppa" to four wonderful grandchildren that he loved so much, Hannah and Rachel Crawford, Katie Britt and Ben McKinney. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 5:00PM (TODAY) Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the McCormick First Baptist Church.
