Robert Lee Mobley Sr.

Robert Lee Mobley, Sr., 83, of Calhoun Falls, husband of the late Margaret May Waters Mobley, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. He was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Joseph Carrol and Ethel Hutchinson Mobley. Mr. Mobley retired from Rondy Corporation with over 35 years of service. He enjoyed meeting people and was well known for produce sales to the community. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Mobley and Robert 'Junior' Mobley, Jr.; two brothers, Ed and Charlie Mobley; and a sister, Lily Stamey. Mr. Mobley is survived by four daughters, Darlene James (Bobby) of Calhoun Falls, Sandi White (Pat Crockett) of Abbeville; Marlene Turnage (Henry) of Abbeville; a step-daughter, Brenda Hamby of Anderson; a step-son, Anthony 'Coot' Waters of Abbeville; two sisters, Louise Black of Iva and Mary Hill of Donalds; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grand-children and one great great-grandson The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Monday, June 13, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in the Harris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. The family is at the home in Calhoun Falls.
