Robert I Tincher

Robert I. Tincher, 72, of the Cold Springs Community, husband of the late Malta Jewell Tincher, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC. He was born in Beckley, W. Virginia. Mr. Tincher served in the United States Army. He retired from Reelco in Abbeville, SC and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Tincher was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Butch Tincher. Mr. Tincher is survived by three daughters, Melba Gale Coons of Atlanta, GA., Zelma Dale Houliston of Dover, OH, and Delma Zale Pitts of Ware Shoals, SC; two sons, Fain Pennell Brooks of Modoc, SC and Robert Mitchell Tincher of Louisville, KY; one brother, Duke Tincher of Ohio; one sister, Delores Lively of West Virginia; a very special sister-in-law, Jane Cyrus of Zoarville, OH; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 4:30PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 5:00PM Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow with military honors in Melrose Cemetery. The family is at the residence.
