Rockwell "Rocky" O'Sheill

Rockwell ‘Rocky’ O’Sheill, 84, husband of Christine Taylor O’Sheill, of Greenwood, SC died Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in San Antonio, TX to the late Edward John Sheil and Lavalette Rockwell Sheil.

A 1958 graduate of Gannon College, Rocky also completed his studies at Dickinson School of Law in 1962.  As an attorney, he practiced law for many years in Pennsylvania. Rocky was a member of the United States Navy League, as well as the Gourmet Club in Hilton Head where his appreciation for cooking could be shared.  He was an enthusiastic golfer and took pleasure in racing sportscars.  Prior to making his home at Wesley Commons in Greenwood, Rocky thoroughly enjoyed serving as Chairman of the Hilton Head St. Patrick’s Day Parade for a number of years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan M. O’Sheill.

Rocky is survived by his wife, Christine, of the home; children, Colleen Gregory (Ernie) of Conyers, GA, Bridgette Markell (Ron) of Mansfield, PA, Lavalette ‘Lette’ O’Sheill of Hilton Head, SC, and Sean O’Sheill (Candi) of Brooklet, GA; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Eichenlaub of Greenwood; a sister, Penny Brown, of California; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
