Ron Holland, 70, of Greenwood, SC, husband of Penny Camp Holland, died Monday, September 21, 2015 at Heartland of West Ashley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Charleston, SC. Ron was born June 3, 1945 in Shelby, NC to the late Thomas Burl and Lois Mae Bland Holland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dick Easton. Ron or Ronnie, as he was affectionately known by his family, was a graduate of Limestone College. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. In 2008, Ron retired from Milliken & Company–Abbeville Plant with over 35 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement playing golf, traveling, and spending valuable time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who were the lights of his life. Ron was an associate who was caring and positive and a pleasure to know. His upbeat personality always put a smile on your face. Ron was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church He is survived by his wife of 38 years of the home; a son, Ryan Holland and his wife Liz of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Twyla Holland Camp and her husband, Hugh, of Greenwood, SC; two brothers, Charles Holland and his wife Jean of Houston, TX and Jimmy Holland of Boiling Springs, NC; a sister, Linda Ann Holland Easton of Evergreen, CO; and two grandchildren, Garrett Luquire and Kylie Camp, with another on the way in November. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at the Greenwood Country Club. The family is at the home of Twyla and Hugh Camp, 109 Old Oak Drive, Greenwood, SC 29649.
