Ruth "Drummond" Hagood

Ruth Drummond Hagood, 79, wife of Pete Hagood, of Calhoun Falls, SC, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood. She was born in Greenwood to the late James Theodore Drummond and Art Adelia Ayers Drummond.

Mrs. Hagood was a 1957 graduate of Greenwood High School. Family was close to her heart. She was a homemaker, devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Hagood lovingly cared for animals and spent happy hours with her pets. She was a loyal member of Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church for many years.

Mrs. Hagood is survived by her husband Pete, of 62 years and 9 months, of the home; four children, Sonya Prince of Calhoun Falls, SC, Amanda Peru Koehler (Brian) of Statesboro, GA, Jimerson Todd Hagood of Clover, SC and Cecila Ruth ‘Cissy’ McCorkell (Paul) of Dunedin, FL; a brother, Jimmy Drummond (Phyllis) of Gilbert, SC; a sister, Karen McCombs (Billy) of Greenwood, SC; six grandchildren, Brian, Steven, Matthew, Christopher, Kaitlan and Drew; one great-granddaughter, Haven.

A Service to celebrate Mrs. Hagood’s life will be 1:00PM, Friday, November 9, 2018 at Calhoun Falls United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Frank McCoy officiating. The family will receive friends following the services.
