Sally ‘Jane’ Martin Hall, 84, of Irmo, SC, wife of Harris Wayne Hall, Sr, went home to be with our Lord, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, surrounded by her family during her brief battle with cancer. She would have celebrated her 85th birthday on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Jane was born and raised in Calhoun Falls, SC. She attended Calhoun Falls High School and graduated in the class of 1957. Somewhere along the way, she fell in love with Harris ‘Wayne’ Hall, Sr. They eloped and enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Jane was employed by Bigelow Sanford for a few years. After the birth of their first child, Harris, she became a stay-at-home mom. Jane and Wayne later welcomed Jeff and Suzanne to the family. She spent many hours transporting her children to their various activities. Later on, Jane loved taking care of her grandchildren, Wesley, Ashleigh, Alyssa and Matt at various times.
She delighted in any occasion to spend time with family, Starbucks treats and shopping. Jane was famous for finding and owning the latest gadgets. She was a member of Shady Grove UMC in Irmo, SC where she held the position of counter and was an avid attendee of Sunday School and church services. For 27 years, Jane helped save many lives by her donation of blood which contained the RH factor.
She was treasured by all. Her quiet, loving ways will be greatly missed, along with her strawberry cakes.
In addition to her parents, W.T. Martin, Sr. and Myrtle Broadwell Martin Bishop, she was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Edith Ann Martin Blair and Charles Blair.
Jane leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Wayne Hall of Irmo, SC; her children, Harris (Kristi) Hall of Irmo, SC, Jeff (Winston) Hall of Ridgeway, SC and Suzanne Hall McCalla of Ridge Spring, SC; grandchildren, Wes (Kellie) Hall of Monroe, GA, Ashleigh (Kalan) Hall of West Columbia, SC, Alyssa McCalla of Ridge Spring, SC and Mattox McCalla of Iva, SC; great-grandchildren, Whitman, Kensington and Anderson Hall of Monroe, GA; sister Diana Kilgore Stone of Lowndesville, SC; and brother, W. T. ‘Billy’ (Lark) Martin of Pendleton, SC.
