Sarah F. "Scott" Erwin

Sarah F. Erwin, 91, of Abbeville, wife of the late James Erwin, died Tuesday, November 06, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Greenwood.  She was born in Lincolnton, GA to the late William J. Scott and Fannie Mae Tullis Scott.

‘Little Mama’, as she was affectionately known, retired from the former J.P. Steven’s Plant with 20 years of service.  A lady of many talents, Sarah was an excellent cook, especially known for baking pound cakes.  As an accomplished seamstress, she has sewn dresses for weddings.  Perhaps her most outstanding virtue was a kind, loving and caring heart.  Sarah was readily available whenever anyone had a need.  She always responded graciously and capably.  Her memory will be cherished by her family and an extensive number of friends.  Sarah was a member of the Abbeville Church of God.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Cregg Booth; two brothers, Leonard Scott and Jack Scott; and her former husbands, John Thomas Booth and J.W. Miller.

Sarah is survived by her family, Tony Booth (Shirley) of Greenwood, Patricia ‘Patsy’ Hodges (Barry) of Dalton, GA, Gloria Booth of Canton, GA, Jerry Miller (Joyce), Vicki Ashley (Ronnie), Frances Gilliam (Sam), Shirley Simpson and Charles Erwin (Marsha) all of Abbeville; a brother, Reuben Scott of Lincolnton, GA; a special sister-in-law, Dot Scott; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Alvin Hodges officiating.
