Simon Leroy Marner

Simon Leroy Marner, 86, of Abbeville, husband of the late Ruth May Marner, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at his daughter's residence in Reinick, W. VA. He was born in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Jacob and Mary Miller Marner. Mr. Marner worked for Merl's Counter Top's and Retired from Stoll's Trailer Company. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, David; a granddaughter, Angelica; three great-grandchildren, Janell, Nevin, Lisa; a brother, Ed; and a sister, Viola. Mr. Marner is survived by 7 daughters; Mary Catherine Byler and her husband Ezra of Reinick, W.VA, Sylvia Troyer and her husband Levi of Spring Boro, PA, Wilma Fehr and her husband Diedrich of Crosshill, SC, Darlene Kauffman of Grantsville, MD, Barbara Wengard and her husband Martin of Hadley, PA, Naomi Stoll and her husband Rod of Wheatland, WY, and Christina Gerber and her husband Brian of Walnut Creek, OH, 11 sons; Raymond Marner and his wife Magdalena of Due West, SC, Paul Marner and his wife Kathy of Berlin, OH, Matthew Marner of Dover, OH, Eugene Marner and his wife Pauline of Cochranton, PA, Dale Marner of Jamestown, PA, Abraham Marner and his wife Linda of Dover, OH, Norman Marner of Jamestown, PA, Albert Marner and his wife Sadie of Weatherby, MO, Ivan Marner of Dover, OH, Fred Marner and his wife Christina of Dover, OH, Eli Marner and his wife Arloa of Abbeville, SC; 71 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and George; and two sisters, Pauline and Ruby. The family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 9:00PM Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Cold Spring Mennonite Church. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 27, 2009 in the church.
