Susan Turman Bond

 Susan Turman Bond, 72, of Abbeville, wife of the late Tommy Bond, died Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Abbeville to the late Millard and Iris Turman Shumate. 

Susan dedicated many years of her life to working at Cherokee Trail Gas Station. She cherished the time spent with her family and found joy in collecting antiques and exploring thrift stores. Her warm spirit and loving nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Turman; a step-sister, Billie Jean Todd; a granddaughter, Alisha Martin Boyter and a great-grandson, Hayes Boyter. 

Surviving Susan are her two children, Jody Bond of Abbeville and Tammy Bond Martin (Billy) of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Brandan Martin (Shanda), Amber Koerber (Chris) and Celina B. Gladden(Mack); seven great-grandchildren, Colby, Jordan, Tanner, Ashton, Harper, Adrianne and Alanna; her mother-in-law, Willie Ozmint of Abbeville, brother-in-law, Edward Bond (Gloria) of Abbeville; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bandit. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday beginning at 2:30PM with Rev. Tim Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Chris and Amber Koerber, 277 Noble Est. Abbeville, SC.
