Tabitha Evans, 52, of Calhoun Falls died Sunday, June 14, 2020 at her home. She was born in Abbeville to Arthur and Faye Bonds Evans.
A 1986 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School, Tabitha was previously employed as a substitute teacher at the high school. An active member of Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church, she was also involved with the Beautifully Rooted Women’s Ministry. Her favorite hobbies were painting and crafting. Always willing to lend a hand, Tabitha’s compassionate character was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.
Tabitha was preceded in death by a grandson, William Hamby.
She is survived by a son, Matthew Prince (Sarah) of Abbeville; two daughters, Brittany Jennings of Calhoun Falls and Lesley Hamby of Belton; her parents, Arthur and Faye of Calhoun Falls; two sisters, Tracy Evans and Tonya Brown (Richard) all of Calhoun Falls; and seven grandchildren, Claudia Jennings, Kyley Smith, Brittanya Marshall, Delilah White, Michael Hamby, Emily Prince and Allison Sanders.
A service to celebrate Tabitha’s life will be held 2:00PM, Friday, June 19, 2020 in Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
