Teresa Manders Ballenger, 60, of Abbeville, wife of the late Clyne Ballenger, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born in Fort McPherson, GA to the late Robert Lewis and Vera Lucille Dean Manders. Teresa was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College and retired from the Index Journal after many years of service. She was a member of South Side Baptist Church in Abbeville and the Designing Women Group. Teresa was also a member and former president of the Mother of Twins Club. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Teresa is survived by two sons, Shane Ballenger and Paul Ballenger and his wife Candice, all of Abbeville, SC; three daughters, Michele Smith and her husband, Alex of Columbia, SC, Adrienne Ballenger of Atlanta, GA and Jill Page and her husband, Tim of Abbeville, SC; two brothers, Charles Jackson and his wife, Linda of Pelham, GA and James Manders of Cummings, GA; a sister, Martha Whitmire of Cummings, GA; and five grandchildren, Landon Page, Ivy Kate Page, Lindsey Ballenger, Scarlett Smith and Cayden Smith. The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Monday, August 8, 2016 in Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence on Stevenson Road, Abbeville.
