Thomas 'Gregg' Lewis, 55, of Calhoun Falls, husband of Sylvia Patterson Lewis, died Sunday, July 31, 2016 at his residence. Gregg was born in Abbeville County to the late John Thomas and Dorothy Jones Lewis. He was a 1978 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School and served in the U.S. Air Force and the S.C. National Guard Co A 111th Sig. Battalion. Gregg enjoyed music, playing in numerous bands and being a drummer for over 30 years. Gregg was an avid Clemson Fan. His favorite time of year was football season. On Saturdays, it was all about the Clemson Tigers and on Sundays, the Carolina Panthers. Gregg is survived by his wife of 35 years of the home; a daughter, Melissa Ann Lewis of Calhoun Falls; a son, Jeremy Ryan Lewis and his wife Anna of Abbeville; a brother, Mike Lewis and his wife Teresa of Abbeville; a sister, Sue Campbell and her husband Tommy of Calhoun Falls; five grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Crawford of Calhoun Falls, Aubrey, Chloe and Robert Thomas Lewis of Abbeville and three brothers-in-law; Randy Patterson of Calhoun Falls, Jerry Patterson of Athens, GA and Dennis Patterson of Epworth, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Harris Funeral Home Calhoun Falls Chapel. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the Calhoun Falls Chapel with Mrs. Nancy Crocker, Rev. Dr. Bobby Jones and Rev. John Ellis officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Latimer Cemetery with Rev. Scott Propes officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Howie Crocker, John Snipes, Mark Kidd, Marion Johnson, Robert Hester, James Hilley, Bob Rush, and Tony Brown. The family is at the home.
