Wanda Murdock Campbell, 75, of Honea Path, wife of Wayman Campbell, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home. She was born in Anderson County to the late Donald and Edith Hopkins Murdock.
Mrs. Campbell was a 1961 graduate of Honea Path High School. She was a member of Bells United Methodist Church where she enjoyed teaching the Fellowship Sunday School Class and singing in the choir. Mrs. Campbell retired from Monsanto in Greenwood after 40 years of dedicated service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bo Hayes; her grandma, Devona Murdock; and her mother and father-in-law, Pete and Nona Campbell.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband of 50 years, Wayman, of the home; a daughter, Alyssa Mann and her husband, William of Abbeville; a brother, Rev. Donnie Murdock and his wife, Sandra of Belton; a sister, Ann Hayes of Greenville; two very special grandchildren, Emalee Mann and Billy Mann both of Abbeville; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Campbell’s life will be 3:00PM Monday, March 4, 2019 with a graveside service in Bells United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Allen and Rev. Hans Murdock officiating. The family invites everyone to the church fellowship hall following the service for a time of sharing and visiting.
