Willa Dean Kay, 86, of Abbeville, SC, died Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Abbeville Nursing Home. She was born in Abbeville County (Antreville) to the late James Berry Kay and Euzelia Bowen Kay. Ms. Kay was a graduate of Antreville High School and Perry Business School. She retired from Bank of America after 32 years of service. Ms. Kay was a member of First Creek Baptist Church where she formally served as clerk of the church, a member of the choir, and Sunday School secretary. She was active in the missions program and many other activities of the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert O. Kay and his wife Annie Lou "Boots" Kay. Ms. Kay is survived by a sister, Christine Kay Wilson and her husband, Eros of Antreville; a nephew, E. Wayne Wilson and his wife Carol of Greenville; a niece, Olivia Mouchet; five great-nieces, Lauren Wilson Rosenbaum and her husband David, Meghan Wilson Snipes and her husband Ranse, Tara Mouchet Shaver and her husband David, Kristen Mouchet Keener; a great-nephew, Major Stephen W. Wilson and his wife Cari; and eight great-great nieces and nephews, Ava-Olivia Kay, Julia Nichole Shaver, Marcus Wade Shaver, Connor Jacob Rosenbaum, Caroline Blythe Rosenbaum, Caleb James Rosenbaum, Wilson Lee Snipes, and Wade Ramson Snipes. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, May 30, 2015 at First Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Murdock and Rev. Brandon McManus officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Ms. Kay will be buried in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions, in memory of Ms. Kay, may be sent to the First Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Ed Wiles, 1216 Keone Circle, Williamston, SC 29697.
