William Lamar Beasley

William Lamar Beasley, 81, of Calhoun Falls, husband of Brenda Prince Beasley, died Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Hospice House in Greenwood. He was born in Elberton, GA to the late Mack and Lovis Hanvey Beasley.

Lamar was educated in the Elberton, GA school system. He proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his dedication to his country. Lamar devoted his professional life to Mohawk Industries - Rocky River Plant, where he worked in management and retired after 41 years of service. He was known for his kindness and passion for helping others. A steadfast Christian, William was an integral part of the Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed teaching the Joy Seekers Sunday School class for over two decades, sharing his love for the Bible and nurturing the souls of many. With a heart full of compassion, he was a wonderful example of what it meant to live a life devoted to Christ. Lamar will be remembered as a loving, wonderful husband and father. Beyond his family, his passions included playing the guitar and tending to his garden, pursuits that brought him great joy and fulfillment. 

In addition to his parents, Lamar was preceded in death by a brother, John Beasley; sister, Helen Beasley; and brother-in-law, James Long.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Brenda, of the home; son, William Michael Beasley (Alexandra) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother, Eddie Beasley (Jackie) of Ladson, SC; and sister, Sara Long of Washington, GA.

The family will receive friends, 1:00PM – 2:00PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:30PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Latimer Cemetery with military honors.
