William F. ‘Billy’ Voyles, Sr., 80, of Abbeville, husband of the late Mildred ‘Mickie’ Ware Voyles, died Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at his home. He was born in Spartanburg to the late William Martin and Kate Chumley Voyles.
Mr. Voyles honorably served his country in the United States Army. Formerly employed with Bloomsburg Mill for 32 years, he retired from Flexible Technologies after 18 years of dedicated service. A member of the Dew Drop Lodge #266 AFM in Antreville, Mr. Voyles was a Mason and Hejaz Shriner. Involved with the Abbeville Shrine Club, he presided as President from 2015 – 2016. Mr. Voyles was a member of Little Mountain Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Shane Voyles and a sister, Brenda Smith and her husband, Don.
Mr. Voyles is survived by his son, William F. ‘Frankie’ Voyles, Jr. (Chasity); a sister, Diane Voyles Loftis (Jerry); five grandchildren, Breana Voyles McClain (Jacob), Ashstan Elise Voyles (Ben), Trace Voyles, Katelyn Elise Voyles and Brady Shane Voyles; three great-grandchildren, Cohen Robert McClain, Briggs Austin McClain and Micha Shane Voyles; and a special friend, Nancy Price.
The family will receive friends 10:00AM – 11:00AM, Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Little Mountain Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:30AM in the church sanctuary. Burial to follow in Little Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
