William C. Brown, 73, of Calhoun Falls, SC died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the home of his daughter. He was born in Abbeville County to the late Thomas ‘Tom’ P. Brown and Retha Arizona Addison.
William proudly served his country in United States Army receiving the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea). He retired from the Burlington Textile Plant after many years. William was an enthusiastic Gamecock football fan who enjoyed cheering for his team. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy D. Timms; nephew, Allen ‘Booger’ Timms; and a granddaughter, Blanca Renee.
He is survived by his daughters, Toni Price (Jonathan) of Calhoun Falls, SC, Laurie Scantling (Donny) of Waldron, AR, Anna Eaves of Greenwood, SC, Dami Elliott of Anderson, SC and Cindy Storey-Duke (Dwayne) of Calhoun Falls, SC; brother, Tommy Brown (Penny) ; two sisters, Deborah Scott (Sammy) and Glendal B. Welch, all of Calhoun Falls, SC; three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held for the family.
