William Donald 'Don' Lindley

William Donald, ‘Don’, Lindley, 74, of Abbeville, husband of Nancy Earline Pruitt Lindley, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Bordeaux, SC to the late Mary Ellen Lindley.

A graduate of the John de la Howe School, he retired from Carolina Home Shopping Services after 30 years of dedicated service. He was also employed with the Winn Dixie grocery store as a meat cutter. A member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy in Belton, Don served as a deacon and treasurer.

Don is survived by his wife, Earline, of 55 years; two sons, Gary Lindley and Kevin Lindley (Bonnie); two grandchildren, Jessica Sutton (William) and Kourtney Lindley; two great-grandchildren, Madilyn Sutton and Gavin Sutton; and a special family friend, Pete Irby.

The family will receive friends, 12:30 - 1:30 PM, Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Harris Funeral Home - Abbeville Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Keith Crocker and Pastor Sarah Steen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
