William Franklin ‘TeTo’ Nickles, III, 78, of Abbeville, died peacefully Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. He was born in Abbeville to the late William Franklin Nickles, Jr. and Nell Flynn Nickles. Mr. Nickles was a 1956 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 1963 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS degree in Business where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. In 1956, he and his friend, Mr. Frank Phillips of Abbeville, joined the SC Army National Guard. He was a very successful self-employed businessman and entrepreneur having started a Warehouse Business and a Garment Manufacturing Company. Mr. Nickles was of the Methodist faith. In his retirement years, he returned to Abbeville to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Nickles is survived by his three sons, William F. Nickles, IV, Thomas W. Nickles and his wife, MaryAnn and Patrick K. Nickles all of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Cameron, Thomas, Ashlann and Madde; two very special ladies, his former wives, Jeane Cartledge Nickles Campbell and Patti Knox Nickles both of Abbeville; several cousins and a wide circle of friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Harris Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 11:30AM on Thursday in Long Cane Cemetery with Rev. Jason Wilson officiating. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nickles in Abbeville. Memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Nickles, may be sent to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W.
