Services for Winton Frances Cann Towles, 93, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Suber Marshall United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Suber Marshall United Methodist Church, Church Improvement Fund, 3900 Live Oak Street, Columbia, S.C. 29205. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a?" 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church. Graveside service will be held in the Bells United Methodist Church Cemetery, Abbeville, S.C. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, along with Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville is assisting the family. Mrs. Towles died Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Born in Iva, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Jesse Hampton and Rosa Lee Below Cann. She was a nurse during WW II at the Veterans Hospital. Mrs. Towles was a member of VFW Post 6. She was a member of Suber Marshall UMC, where she was a member of the Betts Sunday School Class. Survivors are a sister, Sara Tolley of Greensboro, N.C.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Francis B. Towles.
